The next Fairy Tail game is set to launch before 2024 comes to an end, this time turning the events of the climactic Alvarez Empire Arc into an RPG. To shine some more light on how this one plays, Koei Tecmo shared a new Fairy Tail 2 game system overview trailer. See some of the RPG’s new character progression mechanics and more—including a peek at what happens after the final battle in a completely original game story—in the video below.

The KOEI TECMO LIVE! at TGS 2024 livestream also included more gameplay footage, with some help from Fairy Tail voice actors Tetsuya Kakihara (Natsu) and Sayaka Ohara (Erza), as well as game producer Hiroshi Kataoka.
Fairy Tail 2 hits PC via Steam on December 11, 2024, followed by PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on December 13.Source: Press Release
