After your wedding, you’d think that you’d be able to spend time just the two of you, lapping it up on the beaches of Hawaii. Not for the Uesugi family, who have all the Nakano sisters joining them on what was supposed to be their time away in The Quintessential Quintuplets* special anime. A new extended trailer for the special was released today to celebrate its box office dominance and reveal that it’ll be show past its original three-week run in Japanese theaters.
The Quintessential Quintuplets* Special Anime Extended Trailer
The Quintessential Quintuplets* was originally to have a three-week run in Japanese theaters starting September 20 before being screened on TV in the future but will continue in theaters past October 11 due to high demand. The newest anime is directed and written by Masato Jinbo, who returns from the film, based on an original story by series creator Negi Haruba at Bibury Animation Studios. The special will be an original story teased as the “Honeymoon Arc.”
Both seasons of The Quintessential Quintuplets TV anime along with the concluding film are currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as such:
Uesugi Fuutarou, a high school second-year from a poor family, receives a highly appealing offer to work part-time as a tutor… but his students turn out to be girls from his own class! What’s more, they’re quintuplets… and all five are beautiful, but happen to be problem students who have borderline grades and hate studying!
