The official website for Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, an upcoming 3DCG anime spin-off series to the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, has announced eight main voice cast members for its Japanese dub. The protagonist Iria Solari is voiced by Nanako Mori, who was recently cast as Cagalli Yula Athha in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM movie (2024) in place of the character’s original cast in the Mobile Suit Gunam Seed TV series, Naomi Shindo.”I am very happy and honored to be able to play the role of Iria Solari in the Japanese dub version, and at the same time, I feel a sense of fate, or perhaps a connection, to be involved in the Gundam project in this way,” said Mori. “The story takes place in the One Year War, on the European front. Information on MS has already been released, and the battle scenes are really numbingly cool. Please enjoy it. I would also be very happy if you could pay attention to the conflicts of Solari, whom I play, and the Red Wolf Squadron led by her, as well as the human drama of each of the characters in the series.”

The story begins 11 months after the outbreak of the One Year War in the UC (Universal Century) 0079. GundamInfo describes the story:
In the year Universal Century 0079, a state of war began when the Principality of Zeon declared its independence from the Earth Federation government. In the war’s opening stages, the Zeon forces maintained an advantage thanks to the effectiveness of their new weapon, the mobile suit. However, they lacked the fighting strength to fully conquer Earth, and the war became a stalemate.Eleven months after the outbreak of war, a base in Zeon-occupied Eastern Europe is captured by the Federation Forces. A Zeon composite battalion is sent to recapture the base, and among its members are Solari and her Red Wolf Squadron, a mobile suit team that has only just arrived from space…
