The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries, a supernatural mystery manga series, is being adapted into a newly announced TV anime that will broadcast in Japan in 2025. Key staff members as well as an official teaser image and a celebratory image by manga author Aki Shimizu (below) have also been revealed for the production.
Based on the Rozen Kreuz novel series created by Natsuhiko Kyogoku, Kodansha serializes the original The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries manga by Aki Shimizu in their Comic Days shonen manga magazine. Chihiro Kumano directs the TV anime at animation studio 100studio. Atsushi Oka provides the scripts and also serves as animation supervisor, and Masahio Suzuki provides the character designs.
Set in 1948 and described as a “spooky school mystery” series, the story of The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries follows Kana Kusakabe, a 2nd year high school student who gets wrapped up in solving seemingly supernatural mysteries with the grudging aid of Chuzenji-sensei, a Japanese language teacher with a surly attitude.
