Today is the second anniversary of the airing of the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury as well as the 45th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise as a whole this year. To mark the dual celebrations, the fourth visual of the 45th-anniversary collection was released based on episode nine of the first season of Gundam Aerial under 45% of a moon, the motif from the rest of the visual collection.

The whole Gundam 45th anniversary is being lead by the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE – ROAD TO 2025- nationwide tour and the currently running GUNDAM CONNECT ACTION. GUNDAM CONNECT ACTION is collecting the memories and messages from fans across the world for a special website and shown off at GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE events. These will all culminate in the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION at 2025 World Expo in Osaka.
Other celebrations for the 45th anniversary of Gundam have included film screenings, new stories and collaborations with many video games.
