Batman Ninja took the anime world by storm when it was released in 2018, throwing the Caped Crusader into the Sengoku period. Now, Batman Ninja has to take on a different period of Japanese history and his colleagues in Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League. It isn’t just the Justice League that Batman has to worry about though, with the Joker and Harley Quinn revealed today to be joining the line-up in a brand new Japanese-style Yankee get-up.
Returning to voice Joker and Harley Quinn from the original Batman Ninja anime are Wataru Takagi and Rie Kugimiya respectively.
Junpei Mizusaki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure openings) returns to direct the new feature at studio Kamikaze Douga, with Shinji Takagi on co-direction, Kazuki Nakashima (Promare) on the screenplay, Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) on character designs and Yugo Kanno (PSYCHO-PASS) composing music. Koichi Yamadera (Spike in Cowboy Bebop) once again voices the Caped Crusader.
