Fans are counting down to the return of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, the ongoing isekai light novel adaptation. With the premiere of season 2 just a few days away, we’ve got a look at the first episode of the new season—showing the arrival of Rio’s first love from his previous life.
A new previous for the upcoming episode shows the arrival of Miharu, Aki and Masato in Rio’s new world:

Hiroshi Kubo directs the Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles TV anime at animation studios TMS Entertainment and WAO World. Osamu Yamazaki serves as supervising director and provides the series composition, Kyoko Yufu provides the character designs, and Yasuyuki Yamazaki provides the music.
The original Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles light novels are written by Yuri Kitayama, illustrated by Riv, and published in Japan by Hobby Japan under their HJ Bunko imprint. J-Novel Club publishes an English-language version of the series.
Crunchyroll will be streaming the series as it airs in Japan from October 7. The streamer describes the first season as such:
His past life and current life are intersecting–a boy with memories of two lives faces his destiny! After his mother was killed at an early age, the orphaned Rio fought his hardest to survive in the slums. One day, he awakens to the memories of Haruto Amakawa, who died in an accident while dreaming of being reunited with his childhood friend, and Rio realizing he has reincarnated in a world of swords and sorcery.
