The cumulative total box office gross of Wonderful Precure! The Movie! Dokidoki ♡Game no Sekai de Daibouken! (translated to “Heart-Pounding — A great adventure in the world of games!”) had surpassed a milestone of one billion yen (6.72 million USD) on 800,000 admissions by October 5, in three weeks since debuting in Japanese theaters according to Mantan Web.The 33rd feature film in the 20-year-old Precure franchise opened in 350 theaters across Japan on September 13, making its second-place debut with 367 million yen (2.47 million USD) on 295,000 admissions in its first three-day weekend between Friday and Sunday. It was the second-highest opening weekend gross in the franchise, following last year’s Precure All Stars F, which earned 437 million yen (3.07 million USD) in its first weekend. In its second weekend of September 20-22, the movie was down two positions to fourth. The in its third weekend of September 27-29, it moved up one spot to third, bringing its 16-day total to 945 million yen (6.35 million USD) on 760,000 admissions. Wonderful Precure! The Movie! has now become the top-grossing non-crossover Precure film, surpassing DokiDoki! Precure the Movie: Mana’s Getting Married!!? The Dress of Hope Tied to the Future!, which grossed 950 million yen (6.39 million USD) in 2013. And it has also become the first non-crossover film that has surpassed the one billion yen mark. As reported, two teams from the past Precure franchise — the 13th series, Witchy PreCure!, and 20th series, Soaring Sky! Precure, — join forces with the Wonderful Precure! team, but they are only guests in the story, helping the Wonderful team.In the overall ranking, which includes crossover films, Wonderful Precure!
