The official portal site for Bushiroad’s boy band-themed multimedia project from ARGONAVIS announced on October 7 that the game app ARGONAVIS -Kimi ga Mita Stage e- will end its service on November 30, 2024, and that the project itself will go on indefinite hiatus within the year 2025. Under the original name ARGONAVIS from BanG Dream!, the project launched as a spin-off to Bushiroad’s girl band-themed project BanG Dream! in May 2018. Then the project changed its name to from ARGONAVIS in November 2021. The 13-episode TV anime aired in Japan from April to July 2020. The TV anime’s compilation film ARGONAVIS The Movie: Ryusei no Obligato (“Meteoric Obligato”) released in November 2021, and an all-new feature film ARGONAVIS The Movie: AXIA followed in March 2023.The game started its service in February 2024. In a statement issued under the name of producer Nano Kitaoka, the reason for the termination is that the company is no longer able to provide a satisfactory service to users.Additionally, he believes that it is difficult at this stage to continue the project only with real live events and other activities, while the game app service, which is the core of the character content, will be lost. He stated that the project itself has decided to put its activities on indefinite hiatus within the year 2025. Future plans include the release of mini-albums by all six bands in the project — Argonavis, ST//RAYRIDE, GYROAXIA, Fantôme Iris, Fujin RIZING! and εpsilonΦ — in early spring 2025. The last event before the hiatus is scheduled to be held in the second half of 2025.
