Ahead of the anime’s second episode broadcast on October 13 in Japan, the official website and accounts for Puniru is a Kawaii Slime today announced the casting of Kazuya Nakai (Zoro in One Piece) as mad scientist Hiroshi Mado. He pursues protagonist Puniru, who’s voiced by Yu Sasahara, as a test subject.
Based on the manga by Maeda-kun, Yushi Ibe (Tearmoon Empire) directs Puniru is a Kawaii Slime at studio TOHO animation STUDIO, with series composition by Michiko Yokote (Love is Indivisible by Twins), character designs by Aya Tanaka (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation sub character designer) and music by Izumi Mori.
The story of Puniru is a Kawaii Slime follows the daily adventures of Kotaro, a young boy, and Puniru, the slime he created when he was in elementary school. For the last seven years, Kotaro and Puniro have been great friends, but now that he’s a second year student at junior high, Kotaro has discovered that Puniro can take on the shape of a beautiful and free-spirited girl, and her wild behavior causes him no end of trouble.
