The new Ranma 1/2 anime has only aired one episode thus far and is already set to bring in an anime original character to spice up Rumiko Takahashi’s original story. Ahead of the airing of the second episode, the series revealed Ichiro, a brand new character to the franchise and a member of the broadcast club who will be premiering on the October 12 episode. Ichiro will be voiced by Tomokazu Seki, who is known for his enigmatic characters such as Toya Kinomoto in Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Panda in JUJUTSU KAISEN and more.

Early One Piece anime director Konosuke Uda is directing Ranma 1/2 at MAPPA with series composition written by Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon), character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi (FLCL Alternative costume designer) and music from Kaoru Wada (Inuyasha).
