Right after the TV premiere in Japan, music videos for the opening and ending theme songs of the Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles TV anime second season were streamed on YouTube.
The opening theme song “Auftakt” is sung by voice actor Aguri Onishi , who has also been cast as one of the anime’s main characters, Masato Sendo. This is her second theme song work for the anime series, following her second single song “Elder flower,” which was used as the ending theme for the anime’s first season in 2021. As her seventh CD single, “Auftakt” will be released from Nippon Columbia on November 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, the ending theme song “Harumachiuta” (“A Song of Waiting for Spring”) is sung by voice actror/singer Nanaka Suwa, best known as Kanan Matsuura in Love Live! Sunshine!!. Following the digital release starting on October 8, the song will also be included in her second concept album “Ashiato ga Tsumugu Sekai” (“The World Spun by Footprints”) to release on October 30, 2024.

Following the first season in 2021, the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Yuri Kitayama’s fantasy light novel series Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles premiered in Japan on October 8, 2024. The first episode “When I Met You in This World, You Were…” is now available for Crunchyroll Premium members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
