Following the rebroadcast of the original anime’s first two episodes on Japanese television, a brand-new commercial released for the SK8 the Infinity OVA announced an official title, release date and story details. A third visual, featuring Reki, Langa and Miya, was also unveiled.
The 25-minute OVA, which was first revealed in August 2022 along with a second season, is titled “SK8 the Infinity EXTRA PART” and will premiere in select Japanese theaters on January 24, 2025 before a physical release on March 19, 2025.
As previewed below, we’ll be blessed with four separate short stories with these titles:
“Ame to Neko Konbini Aisu Soda Aji”, centered on Reki, Langa and Miya
“Maji de Maji ni Nareru Koto”, centered on Joe and Cherry
“Morning Routine”, centered on Adam and Tadashi
“Ganbare, Hiromi-chan!”, centered on Shadow
A release date for the second anime season is yet to be confirmed.

Director Hiroko Utsumi (BUCCHIGIRI?!), series composition writer Ichiro Okouchi and character designer Michinori Chiba continue to helm the series at studio Bones. Crunchyroll streams the first season in a range of subs and dubs, describing the story like so:
High school students Reki and Langa are hooked on one thing—a dangerous, top secret, no-holds-barred downhill skateboarding race called “S.” When Reki takes Langa, a transfer student, to the mountain where “S” is held, Langa finds himself sucked in. These colorful skaters will take you through a thrilling story of skateboard battles and unlimited possibilities!
