The 40th anniversary celebrations continue as Magical Angel Creamy Mami casts its spell over a brand new tour stop. And with that new stop comes new art and new events!The tour, which began in Tokyo in 2023, has confirmed a stop in Yokohama in November 2024. This latest addition to the tour will feature a brand new piece of artwork by series character designer Akemi Takada, bringing to life Mami’s last show from the final episode.
A limited number of prints of Takada’s work will be on sale at the event, and the artist herself will be present for an autograph session on November 16. A 2025 calendar will also be on sale.The Creamy Mami 40th Anniversary Exhibition will take place November 1-17 at Marui City Yokohama.Magical Angel Creamy Mami debuted from Studio Pierrot in 1983, and is considered by many to be one of the first media mix anime projects. The series starred up-and-coming idol Takako Ohta as 10-year-old Yuu Morisawa and pop star alter ego. After helping a pair of cat-like aliens find their way home, Yuu is gifted with an alien compact, which she may use as she wishes for one year. The 52-episode series follows Yuu’s misadventures as she (as Mami) unexpectedly rises to stardom.
