The official accounts for the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of Hiromasa Okujima's Baban Baban Ban Vampire comedy manga series released a teaser trailer and visual today introducing the three main cast members.Ryo Yoshizawa (Sougo Okita in the Gintama live-action films) plays 450-year-old vampire Ranmaru Mori. Rihito Itagaki (Norman in THE PROMISED NEVERLAND live-action film) plays Rihito Tatsuno, whom Ranmaru is after for his blood. And the best cast memebrs in Japan gathered to film this outrageous comedy! I am very grateful to Ryo Yoshizawa-san, the lead actor, and all the other people who appeared in the film! The midsummer sun was killing you even if you are not a vampire, and we spent many days shooting late at night, but together with the staff and cast, we did our best to tackle the question of what a vampire comedy is all about. As previously reported, the manga’s TV anime adaptation is also in the works for a January 2025 premiere.The manga, whose genre is categorized as “BL (Bloody Love-Comedy),” has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shonen Champion. The story centers on Ranmaru Mori, a live-in part-timer at a long-established public bathhouse, whose true identity is a 450-year-old vampire. He is in search of the ultimate taste, “the blood of an 18-year-old virgin,” and continues to protect the virginity of the only son of the bathhouse, 15-year-old Rihito. However, when Rihito reaches puberty, he falls in love at first sight with a girl in the same class! Ranmaru’s desperate plan to stop him from losing his virginity begins…!
