Singer sekai digitally released her new song “spira” on October 13, also posting the song’s music video on her official YouTube channel. The digital pop tune is now featured as the ending theme for the fall 2024 TV anime DEMON LORD 2099.

sekai is a female singer who started her career in January 2019. She has covered mainly vocaloid songs, but also covers J-pop and band songs. In August 2021, she digitally released her first original song with her own lyrics and vocals, “ספירות.” “When I received the offer of the ending song, I was honestly very happy,” said sekai. “The worldview of this wonderful work, the loneliness, confusion, conflict, and humiliation felt by Veltol. The heroine Makina’s adoration for Veltol. I felt a great deal of pressure to express the worldview of these works to myself today. In this worldview between fantasy and science fiction, however, the fact that my own time axis and the times of the outside world keep changing is unchanging and is there as a fact. Overcoming this, I think I was able to express the shifting ephemeral flow of time and worldview of the world, including myself, in my own way with this song.”Following the digital release, the CD single of “spira” will be available on November 6, 2024.

The TV anime adaptation of Daigo Murasaki’s cyberpunk sci-fi light novel series DEMON LORD 2099 premiered in Japan on October 12, 2024. The first episode “Cyberpunk City Shinjuku” is now available for Crunchyroll Premium members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
