Two titans of anime news are teaming up! We’re excited to announce that Crunchyroll News is officially teaming up with Newtype to reveal a special collaboration issue that brings the English publication of the fan-favorite magazine to New York Comic Con 2024!
While supplies last, fans at NYCC 2024 can pick up the special issue of Newtype featuring content from the Newtype, Crunchyroll News and The Anime Effect podcast teams, as well as exclusive art of none other than Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom gracing the cover via a commissioned portrait of the Lord of Nazarick himself holding an apple. You know, like New York!
But that’s not all; the back cover of this collaboration issue features exclusive art of Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries, teasing the interview with series director Norihiro Naganuma inside! You’ll also get interviews, features and more from series like DAN DA DAN, Tower of God Season 2 and Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3!
Newtype, which first debuted in Japan in 1985, published an English-language version of the magazine from 2002 to 2008.
