October 15 is Mushroom Day in Japan — and it also happens the be the birthday of a certain mushroom pup! To celebrate, the social media for this season’s Kinokoinu Mushroom Pup will be celebrating for two and a half weeks, ending on November 1: Dog Day.
Today, a special birthday video has been released showing adorable moments from the series so far:

Tokuma Shoten serialized the original Kinoko Inu manga by Kimama Aoboshi from 2010 – 2022 in their Monthly Comic Ryu seinen manga magazine. Kagetoshi Asano directs the TV anime at animation studio C-Station. Jin Tanaka provides the series composition, Daisuke Endou provides the character designs, and Akiyuki Tateyama provides the music. The series features the voice talents of Daiki Kobayashi as Kinoko Inu and Yuto Uemura as Hotaru.
