It’s time to hit the high seas (literally!) as a brand new trailer for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii showed off the navel combat in the game for the first time, including building up the player ships — aptly named the Goromaru — on the ocean fights and the water battles in Pirate Colosseum in the new area Madlantis.Alongside the trailer, director Masayoshi Yokoyama also released a message on why the game is moved up its release date by a week. Spoilers: it’s because production is going better than expected!

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will release on February 21, 2025, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game features fan-favorite character Goro Majima in the protagonist’s seat as he washes up on shore near Hawaii following the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and becomes a pirate.
