The official X (formerly Twitter) for Kanata Hoshi’s romance fantasy light novel series Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! (known as Akujiki Reijou to Kyouketsu Koushaku: Sono Mamono, Watashi ga Oishiku Itadakimasu! in Japan) announced today that the novel’s TV anime adaptation is now in the works for a premiere in the spring of 2025.
The novel originally started serialization on the Japanese novel self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Narou in November 2019. Then Kodansha has published its print edition featuring illustrations by Peperon from its K Lanove Books imprint since April 2021, so far three volumes have been available in Japan. This is the first series from the imprint that will receive its TV anime adaptation. Meanwhile, the novel’s manga adaptation illustrated by Chika Muzube has been serialized in Kodansha’s Palcy website since March 2021, and its latest ninth tankobon volume is set to release in Japan on November 29, 2024.Kodansha USA, which has published the manga in English since December 2023, describes the synopsis as such:
