The official YouTube channel for Japanese ukulele singer Toshiki Kondo has started streaming a music video for his latest song, “Komariwarai” (“annoyed grin”), which is now featured as the ending theme for the latest seventh season of the TV anime Natsume’s Book of Friends. The song is provided by YU-JIN and Kana Yokoi, young writers who have provided music for Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, the AKB groups, etc.Kondo, a high school student like Takashi Natsume, the protagonist of the anime, sings with all his heart to accompany the character’s feelings. The music video was filmed at Higashiyama Itsukushima Shrine in Gotenba, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is also known as the location for Akira Kurosawa’s 1962 film, Tsubaki Sanjuro.
