The official YouTube channel for the four-piece Japanese rock band SPYAIR is now streaming a music video for their 24th CD single song, “Ao” (“Blue”). The rock tune is now featured as the opening theme for the fall 2024 TV anime Blue Miburo.

SPYAIR formed in 2005 and made their major debut from Sony Music Associated Records in 2010. Among anime fans, they are known for their theme song works for Bleach (2010), Gintama (2013, 2018, 2021), and Haikyu!! (2014-2024).As their first CD single in four years since “One Day” (HAIKYU!! TO THE TOP ending theme) in November 2020, the CD single for “Ao” is set to release in Japan on October 30. Ahead of the CD release, the title tune is now available on digital platforms for streaming and download.

The TV anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda’s historical manga Blue Miburo premiered in Japan on October 12. Crunchyroll is now streaming the series for members in the United States, Canada, Oceania, Latin America, and the United Kingdom.Crunchyroll describes the anime series:
The Black Ships arrive in Kyoto as the shogunate stumbles toward ruin. Living amidst the chaos is Nio, a kindhearted boy on the verge of discovering his destiny. He meets two “Miburo,” Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Soji, members of the band of Mibu ronin who will later become the famous Shinsengumi. With dreams of a better world, Nio joins their fight to defend the city.
