A video game has been revealed for Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s Death Note manga, which has inspired an anime and multiple live-action films and series, among other pieces of media. The latest is Death Note: Killer Within, an “online social deduction game” from publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer Grounding, Inc. Death Note: Killer Within is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on November 5, 2024, so we’ll get a chance to play next week. Up to 10 players can join in on the social deduction game, with two teams setting out to tackle different goals. One team is on L’s side, while the other is on Kira’s. Win conditions involve figuring out each other’s identities and either eliminating L or seizing the Death Note.Death Note: Killer Within is a purely online game, so there’s no offline mode and you’ll need an Internet connection to enjoy it. PlayStation Plus members will also be able to pick it up as part of the monthly game offerings from November 5 to December 2.The Death Note manga ran in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2003-2006, followed by Madhouse’s TV anime adaptation from 2006-2007.Source: Press Release
