The JUJUTSU KAISEN manga may be over, but the memories live on. Today at 7pm JST, to coincide with the date and time of the Shibuya Incident, the official Shonen Jump YouTube channel released two new music videos in their “JUMP MV” collaboration series.
Subtitled “Eye of Calamity” and “Eye of Salvation” respectively, the two videos focus on those who cast curses and those who exorcise curses. The song they share, King Gnu’s “SPECIALZ,” served as the opening theme for season 2 of the anime adaptation.
The new videos mark the 29th installment in the “JUMP MV” series, which brings manga frames from popular titles to life in music videos.
The JUJUTSU KAISEN anime returned for its second season on July 6, 2023, and ended on December 28. Crunchyroll is streaming both seasons of the MAPPA-produced anime alongside the anime film JUJUTSU KAISEN 0. A sequel series based on the Culling Game Arc is now in production. Crunchyroll describes the series:
Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.
