The story of Puella Magi Madoka Magica is the story of Homura Akemi fighting for love and receiving tragedy in return. All of that comes to ahead in the newest trailer for Puella Magi Madoka Magica -Walpurgisnacht Rising-, the upcoming fourth film in the anime franchise, which focuses on the magical girl as she is now after the events of Rebellion. The trailer was initially attached to a week-long re-screening of Rebellion leading up to Halloween.

All the staff from Rebellion return at SHAFT; with Akiyuki Shimbo as the chief director, Yukihiro Miyamoto directing the film, Nitroplus’s Gen Urobuchi writing the script, aokiume designing the characters with Junichiro Taniguchi taking those designs and making them fit for animation, Yuki Kajiura as the composer on the film, and Gekidan Inu Curry returning to design the Witches Spaces. The original cast is also set to reprise their roles from the third film and Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story spin-off series.Both the original 2011 TV anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and the 2020 spin-off TV anime series Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, are streaming on Crunchyroll.
