The My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 series will now be adapted into a live-action film, scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on March 28, 2025. A teaser trailer, teaser image, main staff and key cast members were revealed for the newly announced film on November 6.
In the movie adaptation, actors Ryuto Sakuma (of HiHi Jets) and Mizuki Yamashita star as Akito Yamada and Akane Kinoshita, respectively.Media Factory publishes the original My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 manga by Mashiro in their Ganma! shojo manga magazine. Mangamo also publishes an English language version of the series. Yuka Yasukawa directs the film adaptation, while Anna Kawahara provides the script. The series was previously adapted into a TV anime in 2023 with direction by Morio Asaka and animation by MADHOUSE.

Akane Kinoshita, a female college student, faces the absolute worst situation when she ends up breaking up with her boyfriend after he has an affair with a woman he met playing an online game.
