Ahead of a January 2025 broadcast debut, the official website and accounts for Flower and Asura (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) today confirmed the slice-of-life drama anime’s opening and ending song details. SHISHAMO performs “Jibun Kakumei” (“Self Revolution”) for the opening song and Sato. performs “Roro” (“Resonant”) for the ending song, both making their full anime debut.
Furthermore, it was announced that an advance screening of the first two episodes will be held at Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema in Tokyo on December 7, 2024.

Based on the manga by Ayano Takeda (Sound! Euphonium) and Musshu, Ayumu Uwano directs Flower and Asura at Studio Bind, with series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Do It Yourself!!), character designs by Ko Aine and music by Masaru Yokoyama (Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night).
As previously reported, the story of Flower and Asura is a coming-of-age tale set on Tonaru Island, a small island with a population of 600 people. In this setting, Hana Haruyama is a first year high school student who loves to recite works of literature aloud. One day, she is invited by second year student Mizuki Usurai to join the school’s broadcasting club, because Mizuki believes that Hana’s “reading” has the power to attract people’s attention.
