Starting with episode five, the anime adaptation of Blue Miburo will enter the Aizu Clan Arc. Five new characters will be joining the cast as the story moves forward.

The TV anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda’s historical manga Blue Miburo premiered in Japan on October 12. Crunchyroll is now streaming the series for members in the United States, Canada, Oceania, Latin America, and the United Kingdom.

The Black Ships arrive in Kyoto as the shogunate stumbles toward ruin. Living amidst the chaos is Nio, a kindhearted boy on the verge of discovering his destiny. He meets two “Miburo,” Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Soji, members of the band of Mibu ronin who will later become the famous Shinsengumi. With dreams of a better world, Nio joins their fight to defend the city.
