Anisong duo ClariS held the final show of their live concert tour “ClariS AUTUMN TOUR 2024 ～Via Fortuna～” at Zepp Namba in Osaka on November 10. As reported in September, Karen, one of the unit’s two current members, graduated from the unit after the concert. She explained the reason for her departure: “The reason for my graduation is to fulfill another dream of mine, which is to get married and raise a warm family like the one I grew up in.”ClariS was originally formed by Clara and Alice in 2009 and made their major debut with “irony” (Oreimo TV anime opening theme) in 2010. Alice left the unit in June 2014 to concentrate on studying, with Karen joining in November of the same year. The unit has sung many anime theme songs and has released 28 singles, four mini-albums, and seven original albums to date.
ClariS’ last concert tour with Karen, “ClariS AUTUMN TOUR 2024 ～Via Fortuna～” kicked off with two performances at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo on October 26, followed by two performances at Calutz Kawasaki in Kanagawa on November 2 and 3. The tour, which was the culmination of Clara and Karen’s career together, attracted the audience with a set list filled with their history, from their classic songs to newest songs.”There hasn’t been a day in the last 10 years that I haven’t been happy,” Karen said at her last show with Clara. “I really love meeting people. But that’s why I’m not good at saying goodbye more than anyone else. That’s why I don’t want to say ‘Sayonara’ or ‘Bye-bye’ to everyone. I don’t say goodbye to everyone because I think we are all connected under the same ‘Clear Sky.’ For that, I keep wishing by your side that Clara, who made Karen so happy, and everyone who has always supported me, will be happier than they are now, many times over!”
Additionally, Clara read the letter she had prepared on stage. “We fulfilled our dream of a solo live concert at Budokan together. I will never forget the happiness and frustration I felt then, and I hope to stand on that stage again someday for another solo live concert, bringing Karen’s thoughts with me.” Then she called out to Karen, “Please come and share the excitement with me then.””You told me at the Kawasaki show last week that ‘it may not have been the decade that Clara envisioned,’ but I am so happy that it has been a decade that is many, many times more wonderful and full of love than I could have imagined. I am proud and forever treasured to have met Karen, the one person I cherish and want to protect more than anyone else… Thank you for smiling next to me for the past 10 years…”

After the show, the two posted their message to fans on their official staff X (formerly Twitter): “The last show is over! This is the place where we have come to, following the path we have taken together with everyone. We were really filled with happiness. The scenery that Clara, Karen, and everyone have created together will never fade away, and the melodies that we have played together will continue to be spun. Thank you for creating warm memories with us for the past 10 years! May there be many Fortuna on your path. We love you all!”
Ahead of the tour, ClariS released their new best album “ClariS ~ SINGLE BEST 2nd ~” on October 23. A lyric video for “Evergreen” from the album, the last new song by Clara and Karen, is now streamed on their official YouTube channel.
