Oblivion Battery, the TV anime adaptation based on the sports manga by Eko Mikawa, has revealed that second season for the series is in-production. The second season was announced at a special “fan appreciation” event held in Tokyo on November 10, 2024, and later confirmed on social media.
A teaser video (below) was also published for the newly announced production. At the time of this reporting, no further details about the second season have yet been revealed.
Based on the manga serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga magazine, Makoto Nakazono directs the Oblivion Battery TV anime at animation studio MAPPA. Crunchyroll currently streams Oblivion Battery, and describes the story as follows:
