The official accounts for the One Piece manga announced yesterday that the series will not appear in the next two issues of Weekly Shonen Jump. The long-running series will be going on a two-week hiatus due to series creator Eiichiro Oda’s health.The decision was apparently made late in the publication process, as Weekly Shonen Jump warns that One Piece is included both in the table of contents and as an option on their feedback postcard. The publisher apologizes for the inconvenience.
This hiatus affects issues 51 and 52, on sale November 18 and 24 in Japan, respectively. The series will return on December 2.Crunchyroll currently streams the anime adaptation of One Piece, describing it thus:
