Between the recent cancellation of Yokai Buster Murakami and the upcoming One Piece mini-hiatus, there are a lot of spots to fill in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump. To that end, the next issue will feature two new titles—one hailing from One-Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 creator ONE!
The new series, titled Bug Ego, was first published in Weekly Young Jump in April 2023 and consists of two chapters so far. In October, it was announced that the title would move to the monthly mag Ultra Jump—but it seems the series is making a jump yet again.
Kiyoto Shitara (Shinobuna! Chiyo-chan) provides the artwork for the series, which follows a pair of classmates who exploit real-world “Bugs” that alter the world around them in a variety of ways.
Bug Ego will premiere alongside Syd Craft: Love is a Mystery in the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. Subscribers to VIZ’s Shonen Jump app can read all the new titles as they are released.
