Gekijouban Nintama Rantaro Dokutake Ninja-tai Saikyou no Gunshi (“Nintama Rantaro the Movie: The Strongest Strategist of the Dokutake Ninja Squad”), an upcoming theatrical film for the long-running Nintama Rantaro anime series, has published a special music video (below).
The video features Naniwa Danshi performing “Yuuki 100%” (“100% Courage”), the official theme song for the Nintama Rantaro TV anime. Naniwa Danshi also perform the theme song for the movie, which is entitled “Arigatou kokoro kara” (“Thanks from Bottom of My Heart”). The film hits theaters in Japan on December 20, 2024.
The Nintama Rantaro anime is based on the Rakudai Ninja Rantaro manga by Soubee Amako. Masaya Fujimori directs the upcoming film, which is based the 2013 spin-off novel written by Kazuhisa Sakaguchi and illustrated by Amako. Sakaguchi also writes the script, Kouji Makaino provides the music, Emiko Niiyama provides the character designs, animation studio AJIADO CO.,LTD. produces the animation and Shochiku distributes the film in Japanese theaters.

The story of the film begins when Doi-sensei disappears after being challenged to a duel by Moroizumi Sonnamon, a tasogaredoki ninja. While Yamada-sensei and the 6th graders of the Ninjutsu Academy search for Doi-sensei, a man dressed in white suddenly appears at the Academy!
Known as Ninjaboy Rantaro in English, the story of Nintama Rantaro is described as follows:
Rantaro, Kirimaru, and Shinbei are far from being excellent ninjas. As they embark on their training at the ninja school, they are joined by their tongue-in-cheek friends, ninja masters, and idol senior ninja trainees. All the unbelievable mistakes and confusion over the course of their training sets the base for loads of fun and entertainment.
