Ever wished you could visit the iconic Nekohanten of Ranma 1/2? Soon, you can! TOKYO PARADE goods & café will be teaming up with the series starting next month to present a collab café inspired by the in-universe restaurant.Nekohanten (“cat café”) is a Chinese restaurant featured in Rumiko Takahashi’s legendary series. As in the show, Shampoo serves as the restaurant’s central poster girl—though the new art for the upcoming event features Ranma, Akane, Ryoga, Ukyo, Mousse and Genma all dressed up and pitching in:
The menu has yet to be revealed, but it will feature dishes and drinks inspired by the show’s characters and world. A connected gift shop will offer goods based on artwork created especially for the event.The Nekohanten collab café will take place at the TOKYO PARADE goods & cafe Shibuya Parco store from December 27, 2024 to February 16, 2025. There are also plans for the event to travel to Nagoya and Shinsaibashi in 2025.
Early One Piece anime director Konosuke Uda is directing Ranma 1/2 at MAPPA with series composition written by Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon), character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi (FLCL Alternative costume designer) and music from Kaoru Wada (Inuyasha).Ranma 1/2 is streaming weekly on Netflix.
