It starts innocently enough in a Chao Garden café we’d all love to visit, but the latest Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer quickly veers into dramatic territory as Shadow enters the picture along with Robotnik and his grandfather. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 comes after two majorly successful live-action films that finally brought Sonic to the big screen. The first film, which premiered in 2020, pulled in $319 million at the global box office, with 2022’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2 following up with $404 million in box office takings. The third entry is once again directed by Jeff Fowler, with Pat Casey and Josh Miller writing and a cast that includes Ben Schwartz (Sonic), James Marsden (Tom Wachowski), Jim Carrey (Dr. Robotnik), Tika Sumpter (Maddie Wachowski), Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Tails), Idris Elba (Knuckles) and Keanu Reeves (Shadow).Sonic the Hedgehog 3 releases in North America on December 20.Source: Official X (formerly Twitter)
