WIT STUDIO, the animation production company behind SPY × FAMILY, Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3 and more, announced the launch of its own apparel line < ARCHIVES > on November 26. < ARCHIVES > is described as a project that aims to cross “past/present/future” and encompass them from outside of animation, using fashion as a special recording medium. Although animation works are completed by a variety of people, by focusing on intermediate products that are usually out of the spotlight and incorporating them into fashion, the project’s aim to make the process of animation production widely known and to encourage many people to become interested in the animation industry.
The first lineup of the project will be two types of T-shirts featuring one of the studio’s recent works, the TV anime My Deer Friend Nokotan, which aired in the summer 2024 season. Keyframes (Key animation drawings), one of the intermediate deliverables at the “58%” progress level in the animation production process, are printed on the T-shirts.The price of both T-shirts is 5,400 yen (35 USD). Pre-orders will be received WIT STORE from December 3, 2024 at 18:00 until January 14, 2025 at 23:59 (JST).
