The official website for voice actor and singer Rico Sasaki announced that her next CD single "Palette Days" is set to release on February 26, 2025. It will be her second single from Bandai Namco Music Live's music label, Lantis, following "Windshifter" ( TV anime Rinkai! opening theme) released in May 2024.

It will be her second single from Bandai Namco Music Live’s music label, Lantis, following “Windshifter” ( TV anime Rinkai! opening theme) released in May 2024. “Palette Days” will be featured as the opening theme for the winter 2025 TV anime Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!, in which she is also cast as one of the main characters, Mewi. Her website describes the song as: “A heartwarming song that is like a palette of favorite things, memories, and colorful emotions. It also evokes the joy of learning about things you don’t know and the wonder of endless encounters, as depicted in the story of the anime.”In addition to the title track, the three-song CD single also includes one song written and composed by Sasaki herself. Two CD jackets, an artist edition and an anime edition, have been released.

Sasaki originally started her career as a stage actor in 2009 when she was 11, and made her solo singer debut as Rico from Teichiku Records’ J-pop label, IMPERIAL RECORDS, in 2014. Then she moved to Victor Entertainment in 2016, releasing theme/insert songs for Dropkick on My Devil! (2018) and BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. (2020). As an anime voice actor, she is best known as Daia / Daia Nijinosaki in Kiratto Pri☆chan (2019-2021) and Poporon in Dropkick on My Devil!.

The anime’s new trailer revealing the opening theme “Palette Days” by Rico Sasaki and ending theme “Yummy Yummy” by Nijisanji VTubers Kaede Higuchi and Kanae will be posted online at 18:00 (JST) / 01:00 (PT) on November 28.

A TV anime adaptation of Makishima Suzuki’s isekai fantasy light novel series Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is set to premiere on the Tokyo Broadcasting System’s “Animeism” programming block in Japan in January 2025. Toru Kitahata directs the TV anime at animation studio ZERO-G. Aya Yoshinaga provides the series composition, and Madoka Hiyama provides the character designs and acts as chief animation director.J-Novel Club, which publishes the novel’s English edition, describes the series:
