The official website for the live-action adaptation project based on the Oshi no Ko manga released a second trailer on December 3 for the web drama series. The new clip depicts idol group B-Komachi’s rise to stardom while Aqua and Ruby get closer to the identity of the mastermind behind Ai’s death.
The first six episodes of the eight-episode drama series are streaming on Amazon Prime Video worldwide since November 28. The last two episodes will start streaming on December 5 at 21:00 (JST).Oshi no Ko -The Final Act-, a feature film that tells the drama’s sequel story, will release in Japanese theaters on December 20, 2024. Prior to the theatrical release, the beginning part of the film will release on Amazon Prime Video simultaneously with the drama’s seventh and eighth episodes on December 5.Additionally, Japanese three-piece rock band WANIMA released a music video for “Ranran Rhapsody,” the theme song for the drama’s sixth episode. The song is now available on digital platforms for streaming and download, and will also be included in the band’s new EP “Sorry Not Sorry” to be available on December 18, 2024.

The manga created by Aka Akasaka (story) and Mengo Yokoyari (art) was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 to November 2024, with 20 million copies total in circulation. The first season of the TV anime adaptation aired from April to June 2023, with the second season following from July to October 2024. As previously reported, the third season is in the works.
