Sorairo Utility, an upcoming original TV anime based on the 2021 short animation about girls playing girl, has revealed a new piece of key art (below). The series will broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX and other stations beginning in January 2025.
Originally a short anime broadcast on TV Tokyo in 2021, Kengo Saito directs and provides the character designs for the Sorairo Utility TV anime at animation studio Yostar Pictures. Yu Sato provides the series composition as well as the scripts alongside Aya Satsuki and Aki Mizuki, and daisuke horita provides the music and sound direction. Crunchyroll currently streams the 2021 Sorairo Utility short anime.
The story of Sorairo Utility follows three young women who explore their love of golf: Minami, a beginner at the game who picks up golf in an effort to distinguish herself with a hobby; Haruka, a gifted golfer who excels at the sport; and Ayaka, a young lady who aims to become an influencer on socal media.
