Ashi Productions’ classic robot anime Dancouga: Super Beast Machine God will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its broadcast in 2025. To celebrate the momentous year, a Blu-ray box set is set to release on March 26, 2025. The price is 44,000 yen (excluding tax / 292 USD).A trailer for the Blu-ray box featuring memorable scenes from the anime is now streamed on EMOTION label’s official YouTube channel.
The original TV series Dancouga: Super Beast Machine God aired for 38 episodes from April to December 1985, then followed by the four OVAs — Ushinawareta Monotachi heno Chinkonka (“Requiem for Victims”) in 1986, the video clip collection SONG SPECIAL Jusenkitai SONGS in 1986, GOD BLESS DANCOUGA in 1987, and the four-episode Hakunetsu no Shusho (“Blazing Epilogue”) in 1989-1990. In addition to the TV series, all of the OVA series are included in the box.Masami Obari, who was in charge of mechanical design of the anime, draws the box illustration. Meanwhile, Kazuko Tadano (character designer), Takahiro Yamada, and Hirotoshi Sano provide the inner jacket illustrations. The enclosed 100-page booklet contains new interviews with the voice cast and staff.

Deep in outer space, the emperor Muge plots his next conquest – an out-of-the-way planet known as Earth. Mustering all the forces of his own personal Empire of Death, the Emperor is by far the most formidable foe humans have ever faced.
