The upcoming Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube reboot anime today revealed a planned Summer 2025 release, a brand-new teaser visual and the casting of Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya in Bleach) as protagonist Meisuke Nueno. It was also revealed that Studio KAI (FUUTO PI) is producing the series’ animation.

Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1993 to 1999, the Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube manga was previously adapted into a 49-episode television anime, plus several films and OVAs by Toei Animation, as well as a ten-episode live-action drama and a PlayStation video game. It was reported in July 2024 that the series, including multiple spin-offs, has over 29 million copies in circulation.
