Immerse yourself in the world of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End without leaving home. The Frieren Online Festival opens today—and it’s available to peruse in English!The festival is a digital space where visitors are represented by a cute little mage avatar. Take snapshots and cast spells as you wander the town, and chat with fellow fans from around the world.
The town square, which is available to peruse without a ticket, serves as a portal to a variety of events: a fan art contest, a poll on “folk magic,” and a message board for fans to leave their thoughts. Check the book by the entrance for today’s handy folk magic spell, too!

Seeing the bulk of the attraction will require a ticket (1,650 yen including tax) and a S-PACE ID. Once you’re ready to go, you can peruse a museum full of moments from the manga, complete with an audio guide by Himmel voice actor Nobuhiko Okamoto.
Ticket holders can send fan letters to the creators and participate in a variety of other events, which will be launched sequentially over the course of the festival. First up is a focus on statues of Himmel the Hero. Help your fellow visitors clean up the statues around the map—and then place your own around the world! An AR phone function will let you place statues of Himmel wherever you go and take snapshots. Submit them for the chance to be featured during the festival!The Frieren Online Festival is open now and will run until May 31, 2025. The “multiplayer” option, in which you can interact with other visitors in real time, will be available until January 31, 2025.
Based on the award-winning manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, Keiichiro Saito (BOCCHI THE ROCK!) directed Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End at studio MADHOUSE, with series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki (One-Punch Man), character designs by Reiko Nagasawa (takt op.Destiny) and music by Evan Call (Violet Evergarden).
