This spring, the superhero rom-com donghua Wuliao Jiu Wanjie (Don’t Give Up!) will be coming to Japanese television with a much more evocative title: “Stopping Your Nosebleed with My Love.”The Japanese release is titled Kono Ko de Hanaji o Tomete (“HanaKoi” for short). The Japanese dub features Megumi Han (Meimei in The Apothecary Diaries) as office worker Mocha and Natsuki Hanae (Okarun in DAN DA DAN) as clumsy alien superhero Yasen.
Wuliao Jiu Wanjie premiered on the Chinese video site Bilibili in July 2024. The series will make its Japanese debut as part of April 2025 in Fuji TV’s B8station programming slot. The story follows Mocha, a normal office worker who leads an uninspiring life—until she becomes infected by an alien parasite that will literally make her die of boredom. Despite the threat to her life, she continues to go to work. But Yasen, a clumsy alien superhero, has decided to do everything he can to save her.
