Following a fan event held in Japan today, the official website and accounts for Black Butler revealed that the previously announced Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc- anime will begin airing in April 2025. A teaser visual and two additional cast members were also unveiled.

Chikahiro Kobayashi (Legoshi in BEASTARS) and Rie Kugimiya (Kagura in Gintama) join the cast as Wolfram Gelzer and Sieglinde Sullivan, respectively.

Kenjiro Okada (March comes in like a lion chief director) continues to direct the latest Black Butler anime at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Hiroyuki Yoshino (World Trigger), character designs by Yumi Shimizu (Horimiya chief animation director). Maaya Sakamoto and Daisuke Ono reprise their roles as Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis, respectively.

Ciel Phantomhive is the most powerful boy in all of England, but he bears the scars of unspeakable suffering. Forced to watch as his beloved parents were brutally murdered, Ciel was subsequently abducted and violently tortured.
