Based on the manga by Ikada Tsuruma, Yasutaka Yamamoto (Servant x Service) directs Medalist at studio ENGI, with series composition by Jukki Hanada (Sound! Euphonium), character designs by Chinatsu Kameyama (In Another World With My Smartphone 2) and music by Yuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!).

Kodansha USA publishes an official English version of the original manga and describes the story:
