Two years and nine months after the release of their first single in March 2022, the official website for Poka Poka Ion, a special unit consisting of voice actor Nao Toyama and Kiyono Yasuno, finally announced the resumption of their activities on December 11. The theme of their new artist photo (above) is “Ofuro de Pokapoka” (“Warm up in the bath”).Their long-awaited second CD single “Rimmy” is set to release on March 5, 2025. As reported, the title tune will be featured as the ending theme for the winter 2025 TV anime I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet, and the song is previewed in the anime’s latest trailer.
The unit was unofficially formed by Toyama and Yasuno, who were also members of the voice actor unit Walküre for the Macross Delta anime franchise, in 2017, and made their official debut with their first CD single “Yajirushi→” in March 2022, which was used as the opening theme for the winter 2022 TV anime Slow Loop. The CD single of “Rimmy” will be available in three editions: Poka Poka Edition, Ion Edition, and Anime Regular Edition. The Poka Poka edition comes with a bonus Blu-ray, which contains a full version music video of the song and their extra talk session. The Ion edition comes with a 56-page photo boon and a karaoke CD.
