The final episode of the 2.5 Dimensional Seduction anime is upon us, and with it comes confirmation that more is in the works. The official X (formerly Twitter) account revealed plans for 2.5 Dimensional Seduction season 2, with more details to be announced on the account and official website in the future.
The original 2.5 Dimensional Seduction manga by Yu Hashimoto is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga magazine, and an English language version is also published by Seven Seas Entertainment. Hideki Okamoto directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studio J.C. STAFF. Takao Yoshioka provides the series composition, Tomoyuki Shitaya provides the character designs, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi provides the music.HIDIVE streams the first season and describes it:
“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Ririsa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Ririsa convinces Okumura to become her photographer—and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Ririsa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
