Next summer, Crayon Shin-chan will premiere its 32nd animated feature film. And this time, it’s going where the franchise has never gone before: India!
The film will be titled Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Cho Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers (“Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Magificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers”). Depending on your reading, “Super Magnificent!” could also be “Super Curry!” A “super trailer” and “super teaser visual” show Shinnosuke’s friend Bo staring off into the distance, with text that reads, “Goodbye, Shin-chan.”
Director Masakazu Hashimoto and screenwriter Kimiko Ueno both return to the franchise for the new film, which is the first in the long-running franchise to be set in India.
The film is set to release in summer 2025. More information will be releaesd in the coming months.
