The official website for the upcoming winter 2025 TV anime OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She's Saying has announced that the anime's ending theme songs are sung by Akari Kito and Fairouz Ai, who are also cast as the two main heroines — Hina Kyan and Kana Higa.The two will cover famous songs by artists associated with Okinawa as the ending themes. The ending song for the anime's first episode will be a cover of "Shimanchu nu Takara," released in 2002 by BEGIN, a band from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa. More cover songs to be used in subsequent episodes will be announced as they become available.A CD album "OKITSURA Cover Songs" including the three ending songs and their solo and instrumental version will be available on February 12, 2025.

The TV anime OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She’s Saying is set to premiere in Japan on January 4, 2025 at 25:00 (effectively January 5 at 1:00). Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India and Southeast Asia.Based on the web manga by Egumi Sora, Shingo Tanabe directs the anime under the supervision of Shin Itagaki at studio Millepensee, with the pair also responsible for series composition. Tomohiro Yoshida is providing the character designs, while Tomohisa Ishikawa, Yoshimi Katayama and Ayana Kinjo are in charge of music.The original manga has been published on the Kurage Bunch web manga platform since January 2020. The series’ synopsis reads as such:

I, Teruaki Nakamura, transferred to Okinawa and fell in love with a girl… but I can’t understand her dialect. Thankfully, Higa-san is always helping me out with translations.
