The roster for The Catcher in the Ballpark! is starting to take shape, as the rom-com anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) announced the casting addition of Ikumi Hasegawa (Ikuyo in BOCCHI THE ROCK!) as Aona. Satoshi Inomata voices Murata and Fairouz Ai voices Ruriko in the upcoming series slated for a 2025 release.
Based on the manga by Tatsuro Suga, Junichi Kitamura (Fluffy Paradise) directs The Catcher in the Ballpark! anime at studio EMT Squared, with series composition by Shigeru Murakoshi (I Parry Everything), character designs by Fumio Iida and music by MONACA (Shangri-La Frontier).The anime’s official website describes the story (translated):
“Am I your type, Onii-san~?”One day at a baseball stadium, a gyaru selling beer approaches!? But she’s actually a super innocent and kind-hearted girl…♡The setting is a pro-league baseball stadium!
